Who is Blanchard Johnson?

Blanchard Johnson, Jr. was born the middle child of five to Etta and Blanchard Johnson, Sr. in Omaha, Ne. When he turned eight years old, the family moved across the river to Council Bluffs, Ia. where the children attended St. Patrick's Catholic School. After graduating in 1970 from St. Albert Catholic High School, Blanchard attended Huron College in South Dakota and the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He and his wife, Liz, were married in 1978 and have three grown children, Blanchard III, Elicia and Eve. They have been active members of Queen of Apostles Church for over 18 years.

He has been involved in coaching youth and High School sports since 1987, many times coaching teams his own children were participating on. Some of his coaching stints include head wrestling coach, head junior high football coach, and varsity assistant softball coach at St. Albert Catholic School, and Head Wrestling Coach for 3 years at Underwood High School.

After working as a truck driver and foreman for United AG in Omaha for 18 years, Blanchard changed careers. He began selling real estate for Heartland Properties in 1997, successfully closing many transaction per year. Licensed for commercial and residential properties in both Iowa and Nebraska, he is an active member of the Southwest Iowa Board of Realtors and the Omaha Area Board of Realtors and has also served on the Fair Housing Committee. Blanchard has achieved the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) designation and is currently working toward the Certified Real Estate Specialist (CRS) designation.

In his leisure time, Blanchard likes traveling with his family.
